The Project was organised by Leith Police in Edinburgh as a dedicated place for the Polish and Scottish community in Leith can sit and enjoy. It has two flag poles for the Scottish Saltire and Polish flag.A copy of the maquette will eventually sit there, so gradually, we are getting there!
The teddies were sent to Edinburgh Sick Kids in memory of Wojtek and he was blessed by local Polish priest and best of all a friend of Peter and the bear also attended, and was very moved when he saw the dedication.
The Scottish Parliament hosted a Polish/Scottish evening on the 25/3/9., celebrating the close union Scotland has had with Poland. Particularly with the Polish soldiers and Voytek.
